Ah, New Years Eve. Of all the holidays it seems like this is the one that changes the most when you become a parent. And it is constantly changing as your children get older. If your NYE plans this year include the kids, check out Old Sacramento’s New Years Eve Sky Spectacular with Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Roadcrew.
There will be live music, fireworks and vendors in Old Sacramento. You can go for just the fireworks or make an evening out of it with dinner and dessert. Here is the official schedule:
The rest of the evening’s entertainment will be provided by the Ralph Woodson Experience performing a Jimi Hendrix Tribute and more fireworks at midnight. You can also find Clemon Charles (pop and rock) from 6-10PM at 2nd and J Streets, Allie Marcel and Friends (rockin’ blues) from 8PM-12AM at Front and J Streets, and Obsidian Butterfly (Fire Dancers) from 9PM to 12AM at Front and K Streets. All of the festivities are *FREE* so you know we love that.
If you’re staying in with the kids you can trick them into thinking it is midnight by showing them the ball dropping in New York at 9PM local time… and then let us know if that really works!
What are your New Years plans? (We are mostly asking because we’re still undecided about what we’re doing.) Do your kids make it to midnight? Any fun traditions? Please share! Leave us a comment below.
