*FREE* Performance by the Sacramento Philharmonic

December 5, 2009

We don’t normally post at East Sac Mom on the weekends but we wanted to give readers as much time as possible to plan for a *FREE* performance by the Sacramento Philharmonic on Monday!

With the help of Target and the National Endowment for the Arts, the Philharmonic will offer a “pro-bono” performance on Monday, December 7th beginning at 7:30PM at the B Street Theatre. The show will include Igor Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale, Bohuslav Martinu’s Kitchen Revue and Francis Poulenc’s Masked Ball.

Tickets will be available at the door of the B Street Theatre beginning at 6:30PM and seating is limited so get there early! Performances are appropriate for preteens so we thought this would make a perfect impromptu “date night” for you and your older children. Dress up, go out for a light dinner somewhere or maybe even hit up Rick’s Dessert Diner after the show for something special.

The B Street Theatre is located at 2711 B Street. For more information click here or call 916.732.9045.

Is this event something your child would be interested in? How about the idea of “dating” your tween or teen? We’ve heard other parents say it was an effective way for them to spend quality time with their son or daughter and show them how to properly act on a date. Your thoughts? Please comment below!
