Here at East Sacramento Mom we do our best to limit our posts to activities that relate to the immediate East Sacramento neighborhood… but once in a while there is an event or a cause we feel you really need to know about that may be outside of that area. Today’s post falls into that category.
Meet Annette De Bow, who was dagnosed with a rare and deadly blood cancer two years ago, shortly after her daughter was born. This summer Annette is hiking 211 miles of the John Muir Trail to raise awareness and money for research to find a cure for the disease. Annette’s friend Ronit Schwarz is organizing a fundraising event that will take place on June 5th in West Sacramento from 4PM to 8PM. This family friendly fundraiser will benefit Myleoproliferative Disorders and will serve to celebrate the begining of Annette’s trek.
Tickets to the festival are $20 for adults and $10 for children 2 and older and will include: food, drinks, live music, ice cream, children’s activities, farm animals, bounce house, batting cage, fishing, and much more. Tickets must be purchased in advance by contacting Ronit Schwarz at email@example.com or 916.705.2920. All ticket sales are tax deductable and 100% of the ticket sales go directly to the Myleoproliferative Disorders (MPD) Foundation.
We’ll see you there!
