2010 Pops in the Park


Is anyone else giddy with excitement over the Pops in the Park starting June 5th? If you were to ask May, summer officially begins when the school year ends. If you ask me, it’s the first evening of Pops in the Park. The *FREE* concert series is sponsored by Council Member Steve Cohn and take place at various parks around East Sacramento. Each concert begins at 6PM and while there is street parking, we encourage you to ride your bike and enjoy the *FREE* bicycle valet provided by the Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates.

Here are the dates, locations and performers for this year’s Pops in the Park:

51st & M Streets
“Whiskey Dawn”

Saturday, June 12
Glenn Hall Park
Sandburg & Carlson Drives
“Because” (Beatles tribute)

Saturday, June 19
Bertha Henschel Park
45th Street & Brand Way
“Swing Masters”

Saturday, June 26
McKinley Park
H Street & Alhambra
“The Q-Balls”

Gather your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic dinners!
