For (East Sac) Mom: Yoga at Art Beast

I have been so excited for today’s post! We’re combining a few of our favorite things: yoga, ArtBeast and another East Sacramento Mom. I am thrilled to introduce Amanda Bohl…

Rest. Relax. Renew. Since becoming a mom four and a half years ago, these actions have become less and less frequent. I’ve never been successful at napping when my children nap. Relaxation is often a quiet, unexpected moment when my children are playing by themselves. Complete renewal—time to myself or with my spouse—hard to come by. Yoga helps me reconnect to these essential actions and reminds me how to find them and experience them amidst the chaos of every day life.

My upcoming yoga series at ArtBeast will help moms learn to rest, relax, and renew. Each week we’ll explore a different aspect of ourselves—sometimes physical, sometimes mental—to help find the balance that resting, relaxing, and renewing brings.

No experience is necessary. We’ll do gentle yoga poses, focus on our breath, and ground our bodies and our minds in ourselves.

A yoga or fitness mat—and any other yoga props you already own—will be helpful, but not necessary. We’ll make do with what we have.

Classes are$8 – $15 each. I ask that participants pay what they can, however, no one will be turned away. If you’re interested in attending most of the series, a six class pass (there are seven classes total), can be purchased for $42 ($7 for each class). Cash or check only.

We’ll meet from 7:15pm to 8:30pm each Thursday April 15th – May 27th in the classroom on the top floor of ArtBeast. Everyone will be provided with a homemade lavender eye pillow and a bit of dessert at the end of class. Please contact me at or (209) 304-3412 with any questions.

Please come ready to rest, relax, and renew. You deserve it!

Amanda is technically a Land Park Mom but she is heavily involved in East Sacramento Events and teaches regular classes at It’s All Yoga. When she’s not teaching, Amanda can be found spending time with her son, daughter and partner, cooking, gardening, knitting, sewing and riding her bicycle. We are fortunate to have Amanda as a regular contributor to East Sacramento Mom but you can also find her blogging over at Welcome Amanda!

ArtBeast is located at 2226 K Street and for more information email or call 916.304.3412.

We’ll see you there!

I’m so excited Amanda is teaching at ArtBeast! I love taking classes with her. I always leave feeling much more calm and relaxed plus I always learn some new information – either about the poses or my body.

    Highly recommend!
