Theodore Judah Harvest Festival

by

esm-pumpkinsA scarecrow contest, a woodshop, and game booths– oh my! Theodore Judah Elementary is hosting a harvest festival on Friday, October 23rd from 4-7:30PM. The harvest festival is a fundraiser for the school’s teachers in order to help offset the cost of classroom supplies and materials (which often come out of the teacher’s own pockets.)

Admission is free and game tickets are only 25 cents! Home Depot is sponsoring a kid’s woodshop where participants can build pre-cut wooden blocks into boats, banks, cars, bird houses and more.

Are you a numbers person? Here are some harvest festival stats for you:  30 community organizations involved, 20 carnival games and $12 barbecue steak sandwiches. Include giveaways, live entertainment, garden sales, face painting, martial arts demonstrations, cookie decorating and a decorate-a-tile activity and there is quite literally something for everyone!

Theodore Judah Elementary is located at 3919 McKinley Boulevard. For more information click here or call 916.277.6364.

We’ll see you there!

P.S. REMEMBER TO ENTER OUR OCTOBER GIVEAWAY by 11:59PM on Thursday!
