Museum Week: California State Capitol Museum

by

Welcome to California! (We assume you are already here– at least virtually.)

“At the State Capitol, the past, present and future of California interact with equal force. The building serves as both a museum and the state’s working seat of government. Visitors to the Capitol can at once experience California’s rich history and witness the making of history through the modern lawmaking process.”

You know by now how much we ESM loves *FREE* fun and supporting our local community. The California State Capitol Museum satisfies both of those! Now through May 23, 2010 when you visit the museum you can see the “Our Union Forever: California’s Role in the Civil War” exhibit. A cool bit of history if you ask me– and I am not a fan of history.

The museum is located at 10th and L Streets at the State Capitol, Room B-27 and is open to the public (did we mention it’s free) daily from 9AM-5PM.
