Sac Screen on the Green

Movie nights are fun family activities but they are even better when the movie is shown on an outdoor screen and the show is free! East Sacramentans are treated to a family-friendly film each Saturday in August at one of four local parks. All movies begin at sundown and it is a BYO chair/blanket/snack format. Spread out your quilt, bring some pillows and a picnic, and enjoy the show!

Here is the schedule:
Saturday, August 1 – Babe the Gallant Pig
East Portal Park – 51st and M Streets, East Sacramento

Saturday, August 8 – Bee Movie
Grant Park – 21st and C Streets, Midtown Sacramento

Saturday, August 15 – Beauty and the Beast
Babcock Park – 2400 Cormorant Way, Swanston Estates

Saturday, August 22 – The Parent Trap (the 1961 version)
Glen Hall Park – Sandburg and Carlson Drives, River Park

Screen on the Green is sponsored by City Councilmember Steve Cohn, PhotoSource, SureWest, the Midtown Business Association, Mercy General Hospital and Inside Publications.
